A neuropsychological evaluation involves assessment of brain functions in order to determine the impact of a traumatic injury, lesion, or developmental disorder on the individual. This type of evaluation helps to correlate brain functioning with observable behavior. As an example, neuropsychological assessment provides quantifiable data about the following cognitive processes:
